Case Study: Flying Angels

From low visibility to long-term growth

iFame Media helped Flying Angels evolve from a company with almost no meaningful organic search visibility into a high-performing digital brand backed by sustained SEO growth, modern web infrastructure, stronger lead generation, and a media presence that strengthened trust in a highly sensitive category.
The relationship, which started with a referral from a friend, grew into a true partnership built on trust and an understanding of Flying Angels’ industry and business model.

Meet Flying Angels

Flying Angels is a leading non-emergency medical transport (NEMT) company that helps patients travel on commercial airlines both domestically and internationally. Services include flight nurses who travel with patients and RN flight coordinators who book flights and work with airports and airlines on behalf of clients.

In a category where trust, clarity, and fast response matter, the company needed a digital presence that reflected the quality of its service and made it easier for families, case managers, and healthcare professionals to connect with its services.

The Challenge

When iFame Media began working with Flying Angels in 2018, the company’s website had little organic search visibility, with its search presence bringing in only 356 impressions and 16 organic clicks per month. The Flying Angels brand was not generating the kind of digital reach its service quality deserved.

The engagement initially focused on SEO. However, as iFame Media’s work increased traffic to the site, other challenges emerged. They included:

  • A dated website infrastructure that limited user experience (UX) and made it harder for Flying Angels to convert traffic.
  • Fragmented digital marketing systems, including multiple unmanaged email lists and no unified strategy to nurture leads or reach out to past clients.
  • Underused subject matter expertise despite Flying Angels’ leadership in the industry, a situation that led to missed PR opportunities and a lack of high-authority backlinks to the site.

The Solution

iFame Media expanded from SEO consulting into a long-term strategic role, helping Flying Angels improve performance across the full digital ecosystem. The partnership supports Flying Angels’ mission to support those in need and uphold the highest possible standards in the non-emergency transport industry.

This meant focusing on raising awareness of Flying Angels’ reputation and expertise in their industry. Tactics included building search visibility over time, redesigning the website for modern conversion needs, consolidating and cleaning the email database, and supporting PR efforts that positioned the founder and brand as trusted voices in the field.

The strategy behind the tools and tactics came from years of lead generation work shaped by conversion-focused UX best practices. We used that expertise to create a clearer, faster, and more reassuring experience for people making high-stakes decisions.

How We Did It

In a category where visitors may be stressed, pressed for time, or coordinating care for someone else, our strategy focused on clarity, reassurance, and low-friction engagement. Our goals included:

  • Reworking site architecture to support clearer user journeys.
  • Applying lead generation UX best practices to reduce friction.
  • Improving content hierarchy and navigation for faster decision-making.
  • Designing page layouts to build trust and support higher inquiry volume.
  • Strengthening mobile responsiveness and conversion paths across key pages.
  • Aligning messaging, design, and calls to action around real user intent.

We began by addressing Flying Angels’ limited search presence with a long-term SEO and content strategy built to grow visibility and capture qualified demand. Rather than focus on a narrow set of service keywords, we developed content that supported the full buyer journey.

This included:

  • High-intent service pages aligned with urgent transport needs.
  • Educational resources for patients, families, and referral sources.
  • Content designed to answer practical search questions early in the decision process.
  • Ongoing optimization to improve rankings, click-through opportunities, and site authority.

This approach helped Flying Angels capture both top-of-funnel informational traffic and bottom-of-funnel service intent, building a stronger organic pipeline over time.

As traffic grew rapidly, the legacy site became a constraint. It no longer reflected the quality of the brand and was not built for modern conversion expectations. To fix that, we executed a full redesign focused on performance, user experience, and lead generation. The work included:

  • Migration to a modern WordPress environment.
  • Redesign using the Divi Theme for a cleaner and more flexible front-end experience.
  • Improved site speed and performance.
  • A more intuitive user journey built around trust and clarity.
  • Conversion rate optimization (CRO) focused on increasing phone calls and inbound leads.

This redesign turned the website into a more effective lead-generation asset. The new site architecture reflected years of iFame Media best practices in conversion and UX, with a focus on trust signals, simplified navigation, mobile responsiveness, and clearer lead paths.

Over the course of the relationship, iFame Media took on a broader role in managing Flying Angels’ digital presence. That support went beyond campaign work and into the systems that kept the company’s web presence operating effectively. This included:

  • Ongoing website management and updates.
  • Support for evolving lead-generation needs.
  • Digital strategy guidance as the business matured.
  • Technical oversight to help maintain performance and stability.

That long-term support gave Flying Angels a more consistent and scalable digital foundation.

Flying Angels’ marketing database had become fragmented across nine separate email lists with no centralized strategy. As part of our expanded role, we rebuilt the system to improve organization, usability, and deliverability. Key steps included:

  • Consolidating nine separate lists into one MailChimp database.
  • Using BriteVerify to clean and validate nearly 9,000 contacts.
  • Creating a stronger infrastructure for future outreach and lead nurturing.
  • Reducing friction caused by duplicate, outdated, or unverified records.

In total, 8,926 clean and validated contacts were integrated into a unified MailChimp database, giving the company a much stronger communications foundation.

Flying Angels had genuine expertise in a specialized field, but that expertise was not being fully used to build authority. We helped change that by proactively supporting media and PR efforts that positioned the founder as a subject matter expert in medical transport and healthcare logistics. That included:

  • Pitching the founder for relevant media opportunities.
  • Supporting press and visibility efforts tied to brand credibility.
  • Building a dedicated Media hub on the website.
  • Showcasing articles, podcasts, and video features in one place.

This work helped strengthen trust with prospective clients while also contributing to authority-building through high-value mentions and backlinks.
